Treatment Therapy
Anxiety is highly treatable, especially when approached with the right methods. We offer personalized, evidence-based care for children, teens, and adults—including CBT, virtual reality therapy, and Genomind genetic testing—to help clients manage anxiety and thrive.
How Treatment Works
At The Anxiety Treatment Center of Greenwich, we take a personalized, evidence-based approach to treating anxiety and related conditions. Our treatment plans are designed around each individual's age, symptoms, and goals—with an emphasis on practical, lasting results.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is the gold standard in anxiety treatment. It's a structured, short-term therapy that helps individuals recognize and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. Research shows a 70–80% success rate, with many no longer meeting diagnostic criteria after treatment.
Exposure Therapy
A core part of CBT, exposure therapy helps individuals gradually face feared situations in a safe, supportive environment—reducing avoidance and building confidence over time.
Virtual Reality Therapy
We offer virtual reality (VR) therapy for phobias, OCD triggers, and social anxiety. VR creates controlled, immersive environments that help clients confront fears at their own pace.
Genomind Genetic Testing
This optional test uses a cheek swab to assess how an individual’s genetics may impact their response to mental health medications. It helps guide psychopharmacological decisions when needed.
Parent Guidance
For children and teens, we often work closely with parents—coaching them as “anxiety coaches” to reinforce skills and support progress at home.
Medication Support
When appropriate, medication can be part of a comprehensive care plan. We offer careful, collaborative medication management for both youth and adults.
